Creekside Residence

This modest, yet prominent residence was designed to capture the essence of the site, Spearfish Creek. The corner lot with floodplain restrictions meant a 2-story building was needed to fit their space and lifestyle needs while adhering to the setback and flood elevation requirements including a cantilevered back deck toward the creek. Natural materials of wood and stone are featured inside and outside including a stone fireplace, stone accent wall and heavy timber accents throughout. Although the lot is located on a prominent corner, intentional planning and collaboration with the homeowners allowed 3Peak to create secluded, private spaces of respite both inside and out.
