This new branch bank in Spearfish was located on an adjacent lot to the existing bank which allowed the existing bank to remain in operation during construction. The 2-story bank with a full basement includes 25 offices, walk-in and drive-through teller lines, conference rooms, a training room and other bank support spaces. The dramatic south facade was carefully scaled and detailed to control the south sun while still taking advantage of the natural light and views. Lighting, overhangs, structural elements, stone masonry and warm tone woods were combined and balanced to give the building a modern, yet classic style.
