The Benedictine Sisters recognized the need for a smaller, more sustainable monastery better suited to their community than the existing 150,000-square-foot St. Martin Monastery. 3PEAK Architecture collaborated closely with the Sisters and their construction team to envision and design a new, “right-sized” home—one that balances practicality with spiritual purpose. From early programming and planning through to interior finishes, the Sisters played an active role in shaping every aspect of their new monastery. The result is a serene, thoughtfully designed facility that harmonizes with its wooded surroundings, offering spaces for quiet contemplation, teaching, and healing ministries—core to the Benedictine mission and way of life.
